Schilling, Angle, Abere, Cho pace all-TRL hoop selections

Lake Oswego boys basketball coach Marshall Cho was named Three Rivers League Coach of the Year after leading the Lakers to the 2018 TRL championship.

The cream has risen to the top.

The Three Rivers League announced its 2018 all-league teams last week, with top honors going to Tualatin senior Player of the Year Alexis Angeles, Lake Oswego junior Defensive Player of the Year Sam Abere, and Lake Oswego Coach of the Year Marshall Cho.

Angeles led the 12th-ranked Timberwolves to a fourth-place finish in the Three Rivers League, an 18-8 overall record and a berth in the Class 6A state tournament.

Abere, Cho and Lake Oswego first-team selections J.R. Schilling (a senior wing) and Josh Angle (a junior guard) led the sixth-ranked Lakers to a TRL championship, a 20-6 overall record and into the second round of the state playoffs.
